Live-In Caregiver

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live-In Caregiver to provide exceptional in-home care for individuals requiring assistance with daily activities and medical needs. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patient health through observation of vital signs and overall condition, promptly reporting any concerns Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and medical documentation protocols Support clients with specialized care needs such as Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or memory care requirements Operate Electronic Health Record (EHR) or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems to document care activities and medical records securely Use medical terminology appropriately when recording patient information or communicating with healthcare professionals Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and maintaining a safe living environment Utilize assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts or catheter care tools to ensure safe patient handling and comfort Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality Collaborate with healthcare teams during hospice or long-term care situations to deliver compassionate support Requirements Proven experience in senior care, home health, assisted living, or nursing home environments Knowledge of medical procedures such as medication administration, vital signs monitoring, catheter care, and hospice support Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia-related conditions like Alzheimer's or memory loss Ability to operate EMR/EHR systems efficiently for accurate documentation of patient care CPR certification and knowledge of medical terminology required; additional certifications like first aid are a plus Strong observational skills for patient safety and health status updates through patient observation techniques Experience using mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts; comfort assisting with transfers and mobility support Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with healthcare professionals and family members Ability to work independently in a live-in setting while maintaining professionalism and compassion Join us in providing vital home-based care that empowers individuals to live comfortably and safely within their homes.
