Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Private Caregiver to provide personalized, high-quality care to individuals in their homes or community settings. This vital role involves supporting clients with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting independence while fostering a warm, respectful environment. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and passionate about enhancing the well-being of those they serve. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patients' health by checking vital signs and observing for any changes in condition Administer medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices to safely transfer clients with mobility challenges Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, patient observations, and any incidents or concerns Support clients in community outings or social activities to promote engagement and mental well-being Follow all safety protocols including first aid procedures, CPR certification requirements, and infection control measures Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, group homes, or home health environments is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and hospice support Experience assisting individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorders is advantageous Familiarity with care plans, medication administration, patient monitoring, and vital signs measurement Hands-on experience with patient observation techniques and working within HIPAA guidelines for confidentiality Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when required Background in social work or long-term care settings is a plus but not mandatory Join us in delivering compassionate care that truly makes a difference!
