In this vital role, you will provide personalized assistance to residents in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or community-based settings, promoting independence and well-being. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your caregiving skills while making a positive impact on people's lives. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure residents' health status Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols Support residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease and behavior management strategies transfer residents with mobility challenges Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control standards communicate effectively Provide emotional support and companionship, fostering social interaction and engagement Skills Proven experience in long-term care settings such as nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home & community care environments Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and memory care best practices Ability to perform first aid procedures confidently when necessary Strong understanding of medication administration protocols and vital signs monitoring Experience working with individuals with developmental and mental disabilities or disabilities requiring specialized support Excellent caregiving skills with a compassionate and patient demeanor Ability to manage behavior effectively through positive reinforcement techniques Willingness to work in group home settings or personal care homes as needed Valid driver's license for driving residents safely when required This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to grow their caregiving expertise while providing exceptional support to those in need.
