JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated special needs advocates to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting an independent adult female with special needs. A strong background in caregiving and a passion for advocating for the rights and needs of those with special needs is required. Excellent communication skills are required. Responsibilities
  • Provide direct support to an individual with special needs.
  • Follow the daily treatment plan and assist the individual with daily hygiene, household tasks, meal prepping and healthy lifestyle goals.
  • Assist the individual in navigating daily/weekly/monthly schedules of appointments, events, activities and goals.
  • Observe the individual closely to monitor well-being and report any changes in behavior or condition.
  • Collaborate with family and caregiving team regarding personalized care plan and successfully adhere to the plan to support the client's needs, goals, and objectives.
  • Provide transportation and attend and participate in daily activities and events with the individual.
  • Maintain a kind and safe environment.
  • Successfully manage time and complete required tasks and documentation. Experience
  • Experience working with individuals with special needs is preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience in direct support roles or caregiving is preferred but not required.
  • Strong observational skills to assess the client's needs effectively is required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and understand your role with the individual, family, and caregiving team is required.
