Job Description
Job Overview Seeking a non-smoking caregiver to come into our home and provide 'late evening' care for 19-year-old paralyzed male. Care will include the use of an overhead/ceiling lift for transfers, dressing & undressing assistance, showering assistance bowel program, supply stocking, and light cleaning. Needed shifts are nightly approximately 8:00 pm - 1:00 am. The number of hours can be flexible; we currently have 3-4 evening shifts available per week. Duties Supply stocking Light cleaning Use of overhead ceiling lift for transfers Dressing & undressing Use of bath/commode chair Bowel program administration •training will be provided•Showering Qualifications Experience in caregiving roles is preferred. Knowledge of patient care techniques, including transferring. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with client and family. Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and respect at all times. CNA certification is a plus but not required. Certification in CPR/First Aid is a plus but not required. Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations. Must be a non-smoker of any type. Must have a reliable source of transportation to get to and from job. This position is for a specific family in home; this is not a business/company. Mom provides care now and is in need of help. Thank you for your consideration.
