Job Description

The pay rate for this position is $15/hr during training and $25/hr once you start working independently. This position currently offers 10-14 hours per week, with hours increasing as we gain new clients. Join a professional organizing business that provides ongoing household support and body doubling for people who struggle with executive functioning, chronic disorganization, mental health challenges, or overwhelming home environments. As a Household Support Specialist, you'll work in clients' homes providing one of two services. During Reset sessions, you'll work independently to help keep the home functional through tasks like laundry, dishes, tidying, vacuuming, taking out trash, and other routine household tasks. During Body Doubling sessions, you'll work alongside clients, providing a calm, encouraging presence while they tackle household or administrative tasks that are difficult to complete on their own. Sessions are two or three hours long and are usually recurring with the same clients on set days and times, allowing you to build trust and consistency over time. This role requires reliability, excellent communication, strong attention to detail, a calm and nonjudgmental demeanor, comfort working independently and alongside clients, resilience in cluttered homes, comfort working around pets and children, the ability to stand and move for up to 8 hours in a day (across multiple sessions), the ability to lift and carry laundry baskets and household items, and reliable transportation throughout Washtenaw County and western Wayne County. SuperOrganized also provides packing and unpacking services, and this position includes assisting clients with those projects as needed. A quote from a SuperOrganized employee, because we recognize how important it is to feel good about your boss: "Allison is great --she's clear, supportive, and easy to reach if I ever need anything. She trusts me to handle my job and always has my back when issues arise." GetSuperOrganized.com
