Direct Care Staff - Children's Program Tactical Care, Inc. | Brainerd, MN Job Overview Tactical Care, Inc. is hiring Direct Care Staff for our children's residential program in Brainerd. We're looking for dependable, energetic people who enjoy working with kids and want a job where they can make a real difference. This position is about much more than simply supervising a child. Our staff help create structure, consistency, and positive experiences while supporting the child in building skills, participating in the community, and working toward greater independence. Previous experience is helpful, but not required. We provide training. What You'll Do Provide supervision, support, and guidance in a residential setting Help maintain a structured, safe, and positive environment Support daily routines and development of independent living skills Participate in recreational and community activities Assist with meals, household routines, and other day-to-day needs Encourage appropriate communication, coping skills, and positive decision-making Follow individualized support plans and established procedures Provide medication assistance after completing required training Complete required documentation Communicate with coworkers, supervisors, and members of the child's support team Build a positive and professional relationship with the child you support Who We're Looking For You don't need years of experience in human services to be successful here. We're looking for people who are: Dependable and consistent Patient but able to maintain appropriate boundaries Comfortable providing structure and direction Able to remain calm during challenging situations Positive and encouraging Good communicators Comfortable being active and participating in activities Able to work both independently and as part of a team Experience working with children, adolescents, developmental disabilities, mental health, behavioral support, residential services, coaching, education, childcare, or similar fields is a plus. Qualifications Age 21 or older preferred Applicants under 21 may be considered when applicable program requirements can be met Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to successfully complete required background studies Ability to complete all required training Dependable attendance and communication Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries Why Tactical Care?
