Our team is driven by compassion, accountability, and a deep belief in each young person's potential. We are currently seeking dedicated, reliable, and caring individuals to join our team as Youth Care Workers . Position Summary Youth Care Workers are responsible for the day-to-day supervision, support, and guidance of youth in a residential setting. This position plays a critical role in maintaining a safe, structured, and nurturing environment where youth can learn, grow, and heal. Minimum Requirements Must be at least 21 years old Valid driver's license Ability to pass a background check High school diploma or equivalent (required) Key Responsibilities Supervise and monitor the daily activities and well-being of youth Maintain a clean and safe living environment, including assistance with meal preparation and housekeeping Support youth in developing healthy life choices and social skills Follow and enforce the daily routine in accordance with facility policies and procedures Respond to emergencies in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOP) Participate in non-violent crisis intervention and follow youth safety plans Maintain accurate documentation including headcounts, behavior observations, logbook entries, and incident reports Facilitate one-on-one discussions and skill groups as guided by treatment plans Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues regarding concerns or incidents Maintain professional appearance and demeanor Uphold client confidentiality and ethical standards Shifts & Scheduling Various shift lengths available (4, 8, 10, or 12 hours) Evening, holiday, and weekend availability required Rotating weekend schedule Overtime opportunities available Port Group Homes is an equal opportunity employer.
