A Caregiver or Personal Care Aide provides non-medical care for adults, including elderly and disabled people, typically in their own homes. Assists clients with daily tasks including bathing, medication reminders, and light housekeeping; may also provide transportation for appointments and errands. These roles do not always require formal certification.
Comfort Keepers is now hiring an in home caregiver for a client in the Buffalo area! Both day time and evening hours available depending on availability, every other weekend required.
Responsibilities:
Assistance with ADLs. Activities of Daily Living Hands-on personal cares may include assistance with dressing, grooming, incontinence, and hygiene Light housekeeping includes cleaning bathroom, living areas, kitchens, dusting, mopping, linen change, vacuuming, laundry, garbage etc. Meal planning, cooking and baking Conversation and companionship Interactive Caregiving Assistance with mobility may include use of transfer tools/equipment Assistance with medication Dementia or Alzheimer's care Communicate with Client Care Coordinator as needed Provide proper electronic documentation of shift and cares
Requirements:
Experience in a caregiving role Must be available every other weekend and holiday. 21 years of age High School Diploma or GED Own reliable transportation, clean driving record, 3 years driving experience Valid driver's license and auto insurance and comfortable driving Exceptional attendance record Successful in all home: hospice, dementia, cats/dogs, & smoking DHS and driving record background clearance Customer Service Excellence, Professional Boundaries required.
