This role involves interviewing, training and providing support to new caregivers as well as providing in-home care to clients. The ideal candidate is dependable, empathetic, and committed to providing respectful, person-centered care. Other locations where we provide care include (but not limited to): Apple Valley, Bloomington, Eagan, Farmington, Lakeville, Richfield & Savage, MN. Responsibilities Assist with interviewing, onboarding, training, and mentoring new caregivers. Perform quality assurance visits and supervisory visits as assigned. Help maintain caregiver compliance with training and documentation requirements. Serve as a point of contact for caregivers needing guidance during shifts. Provide back-up coverage as well as complete regularly scheduled caregiving shifts. In-home care services, include: Provide light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation as needed. Accompany clients to appointments, errands, or community activities (as assigned). Provide reminders to take medications or perform regularly scheduled exercises or treatments. Provide standby assistance for safety while performing daily activities. Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting. Monitor and report changes in client condition or concerns to supervisors. Maintain accurate documentation of care provided according to agency and state requirements. Offer companionship and emotional support to clients. Follow all agency policies, procedures, and state licensing regulations. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age. High school diploma or equivalent. Experience training or mentoring caregivers preferred. Previous caregiving experience required. CNA preferred. Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and staff. Dependable, patient, and compassionate with strong interpersonal skills. Ability to pass a Minnesota Department of Human Services background study. Reliable transportation to travel to client homes. Must be willing to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to provide client coverage. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and perform household tasks.
