Overview Join our dedicated team as an Awake 11pm - 7am Direct Support Professional (DSP), where your compassion and energy will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring overnight care. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to provide essential support during the night hours, ensuring safety, comfort, and well-being for residents with diverse needs. You will be a vital part of a compassionate team committed to fostering independence and dignity for those we serve. This paid position is perfect for motivated individuals eager to contribute to long-term care, memory care, and assisted living environments. Responsibilities Monitor residents throughout the overnight shift, ensuring their safety and well-being while respecting their privacy and dignity Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal care, mobility support, and hygiene assistance Observe and document residents' conditions, including vital signs and behavioral changes, using EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems Respond promptly to residents' needs or emergencies with appropriate first aid or CPR as required Support medication administration following proper protocols and safety procedures Engage residents in calming activities or companionship to promote restful sleep and reduce anxiety Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control standards Experience Previous experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly preferred Demonstrated expertise in dementia care, memory care, and Alzheimer's support strategies Familiarity with assisting residents with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments Knowledge of safe patient lifting practices and manual handling techniques for heavy lifting tasks Experience working with individuals with disabilities or geriatrics in home or community care settings Certification in CPR and first aid is required; additional certifications such as medication administration are advantageous Ability to operate standard passenger vehicles safely when needed for resident outings or appointments This role is ideal for compassionate caregivers with a strong background in long-term care, senior support, or home & community care. Pay:
$18.00 - $18.50 per hour
