Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team in providing exceptional care and support to individuals with diverse needs. As a DSP, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents by assisting with daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring a safe, respectful environment. All roles are compensated, including internships, emphasizing the value we place on your contribution. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Provide medication reminders and help with medication administration following proper protocols Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability Support residents with memory care needs, including Alzheimer's and dementia care strategies Engage residents in recreational activities and social interactions to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being Practice safe patient lifting techniques and manual handling procedures to prevent injury for both residents and staff Maintain accurate documentation using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and report any changes in resident condition promptly Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities or nursing homes is highly preferred Demonstrated experience assisting with ADLs and providing personal care in residential or community care settings Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer's care, and memory care best practices Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments Familiarity with vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and first aid/CPR certification is essential Background in geriatrics or senior care environments is advantageous Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and perform group home or retirement home duties effectively Join us to be part of a passionate team committed to delivering compassionate care that truly makes a difference. Pay:
$17.00 - $17.50 per hour
