In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive assistance with daily activities, medical needs, and emotional well-being within the comfort of clients' homes. Your dedication will help promote independence, safety, and quality of life for those in need of specialized care, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those recovering from illness. Duties Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility support using manual handling techniques and patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts. Monitor patients' vital signs and observe health status to identify changes or concerns, documenting findings accurately for care plans. Administer medications following prescribed instructions while adhering to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding as necessary, ensuring safety during meal times. Support clients with cognitive impairments such as strategies and ensuring a safe environment. Provide transportation assistance for medical appointments or community outings, promoting social engagement and independence. Maintain a clean and safe living environment through regular cleaning tasks and organization to promote overall well-being. Requirements Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or in senior care environments such as assisted living or nursing homes. Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and first aid/CPR certification. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using proper manual handling methods and assist with patient transfers utilizing equipment like Hoyer lifts. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams while maintaining confidentiality per HIPAA standards. Experience working with individuals with autism or intellectual disabilities is highly desirable. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for client appointments and community outings.
