Job Description

Aging Services for Communities has been providing transportation and homemaking services to individuals and families since 2004. We are seeking dedicated and caring individuals to join our new Companion Care program to take on the vital role of being a Companion Caregiver in the areas of Waterville, Morristown, Faribault, Northfield, Lakeville, New Prague, Montgomery, Inver Grove Heights, Janesville and Mankato. As a Companion Caregiver you will work with clients and assist them in reaching community integration or therapeutic goals. Companion Caregivers provide non-medical care to individuals who require assistance in their day-to-day lives and ensuring their well-being and safety, often providing emotional support and companionship.
Key Responsibilities:
Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences. Maintain accurate and up to date records of duties, activities and incident reports. Provide companionship and emotional support to the client by engaging in conversation. Accompany clients to social events or errands. Maintain a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for the client. Monitor changes in client's health and report any concerning issues
