Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support using manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary. Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure residents' health needs are met proactively. Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and document all medication administration in electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Support residents with dementia or Alzheimer's care by implementing memory care strategies and behavior management techniques to promote comfort and safety. Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary guidelines while maintaining cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas. Engage residents in social activities, group outings, or recreational programs to foster community involvement and mental stimulation. Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties, including cleaning resident rooms and common areas. Respond promptly to emergency situations with first aid or CPR when required, ensuring resident safety at all times. Document care activities thoroughly and communicate effectively with team members to coordinate ongoing support plans. Drive residents to appointments or community outings safely when needed, adhering to all safety protocols. Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or senior care environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of assisting with ADLs, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia is advantageous. Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation purposes is a plus. Hands-on experience with manual handling techniques such as Hoyer lifts or other mobility aids is desirable. Previous roles involving home & community care or long-term care settings will strengthen your application. Ability to handle physical tasks including heavy lifting safely while maintaining resident dignity and comfort. Strong caregiving skills combined with excellent communication abilities are essential for success in this role.

Pay:

$17.00 - $23.00 per hour
