Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic NOC Lead Resident Care Giver to join our team, providing exceptional support and compassionate care to residents in a residential care setting. As a vital leader within our caregiving community, you will oversee daily resident needs, coordinate care activities, and ensure the highest standards of safety, dignity, and well-being. Your role will involve supervising caregiving staff, managing NOC shift care team, and fostering a warm, respectful environment where residents feel valued and supported. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with diverse needs, including those with cognitive disabilities, dementia, and other age-related conditions. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate caregiving activities for residents, ensuring personalized support for ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance. Supervise and mentor resident care staff, providing guidance on best practices in assisted living, memory care, and dementia care. Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols while maintaining detailed documentation in EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems. Ensure compliance with residents' rights and safety regulations by implementing safe patient lifting practices and manual handling procedures. Support residents with meal preparation, light cleaning, and maintaining a clean, safe environment that promotes comfort and well-being. Manage behavioral issues with patience and professionalism using behavior management techniques tailored to individual needs. Qualifications Proven experience in assisted living or long-term care environments with a strong background in geriatrics or home & community care. Demonstrated expertise in assisting with ADLs, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring. Prior experience working with individuals with cognitive disabilities or developmental disabilities; Alzheimer's and memory care experience is highly valued. Knowledge of resident's rights, dementia care strategies, and safe patient lifting practices. Certifications in CPR and First Aid are required; additional certifications related to caregiving or nursing home experience are preferred. Ability to operate EMR systems efficiently; familiarity with group home or retirement home settings is advantageous. Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration; physical ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary.
