Job Description
Americare Senior Living is seeking a compassionate Homemaker to support seniors with daily living in a warm, residential-style setting. Responsibilities include light housekeeping, laundry, simple meal preparation, and assisting residents with routines that promote comfort, dignity, and independence. The Homemaker builds trusting relationships with residents and families, observes and reports changes in condition, and works closely with caregivers and nurses. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, reliable, and empathetic, with a passion for serving older adults in a team-focused, mission-driven environment. Responsibilities Provide light housekeeping, laundry, and tidy resident living areas Prepare simple, nutritious meals and snacks for residents Support residents with daily routines while promoting independence Observe and report changes in residents' condition to care staff Engage residents in conversation and companionship activities Follow safety, infection control, and cleanliness standards Collaborate with caregiving and nursing team members Maintain resident dignity, privacy, and confidentiality Required Skills Housekeeping and cleaning Basic meal preparation Infection control practices Time management Observation and reporting Basic safety procedures Communication with older adults Teamwork in care settings Professional boundaries and confidentiality Basic recordkeeping
