Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in their own homes. This vital role involves delivering personalized care that promotes independence, safety, and well-being. As an In Home Caregiver, you will be a trusted companion and caregiver, ensuring residents receive the highest quality of care tailored to their unique needs. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a positive environment where clients feel valued, respected, and supported every day. Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene. Monitor patients' health status by observing vital signs, medication adherence, and overall condition; report changes promptly. Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary restrictions and preferences; ensure proper food safety practices. Support residents with mobility and transfers using appropriate techniques such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods. Maintain accurate care plans, document patient observations, and update records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide companionship and emotional support to foster a caring environment that enhances mental well-being. Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living space. Support clients during outings or appointments by providing personal transportation assistance when needed. Requirements Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, developmental or intellectual disabilities support, or senior care in settings such as group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments. Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques including vital signs measurement and dementia or Alzheimer's care strategies. Familiarity with care procedures such as medication administration, first aid, CPR certification, manual handling, heavy lifting, and the use of assistive devices like Hoyer lifts. Strong understanding of resident's rights, HIPAA compliance, and confidentiality standards in healthcare settings. Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members while demonstrating patience and empathy. Physical ability to perform caregiving duties that involve manual handling and assisting with ADLs safely. Experience working with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders or autism is highly desirable. Valid driver's license or reliable transportation for client outings or appointments is preferred.
