In this vital role, you will foster a safe, nurturing environment while promoting development, independence, and well-being. Your enthusiasm for teaching, activity planning, and child supervision will help create positive experiences that enhance growth and confidence. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you serve while developing your skills in early childhood education and caregiving. Duties Provide attentive care for children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children Plan and implement engaging activities that promote childhood development, learning, and fun Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, outings, and daily routines to ensure safety at all times Assist with toddler and preschooler care routines such as feeding, diapering, bathing, and dressing Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to share updates on their child's progress and behavior Apply behavior management techniques to encourage positive conduct and emotional regulation Follow mandated reporting laws by recognizing signs of abuse or neglect and reporting concerns appropriately Maintain a safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols including first aid and CPR procedures Qualifications Experience working with children across different age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices Prior experience caring for individuals with disabilities is highly valued Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training is encouraged Strong communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration Ability to plan age-appropriate activities that foster learning and social skills Familiarity with behavior management strategies and classroom experience preferred Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare Demonstrated patience, compassion, and enthusiasm for caregiving roles Join us in creating a nurturing environment where children thrive!
