Wright County Children's Home is an emergency shelter for kiddos ages 6 to 18. Direct Care Staff (DCS) are responsible for providing care for the residents in the form of supervising the residents, helping with homework, daily chores, driving to appointments, preparing meals, cleaning the house, doing laundry, interacting with the kiddos... listening, supporting, guiding, etc. Basically, the same responsibilities a father or mother have to care for their children and keep a household running smoothly. The shifts are 24 hour shifts with "on call" sleep time. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age, have a high school diploma or equivalent, be able to pass a stringent criminal background check, and a driver's license check. Drug screening may be required. Successful applicants must have some weekend availability and experience caring for children. A specific application is required. Apply in person or email.
