Job Description

Part-Time After-Hours Care Coordinator /
On-Call Support Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 4:00 PM-8:00 PM Assisting Hands Home Care - Cary is looking for a dependable and responsive Part-Time After-Hours Assistant to support our clients and caregivers during evening hours. This position plays an important role in making sure our clients continue to receive reliable care after the regular office has closed. Responsibilities Answer incoming after-hours calls from clients, families, and caregivers Monitor and respond to after-hours messages Return calls and address routine client and caregiver needs Monitor caregiver clock-ins and identify missed or late clock-ins Contact caregivers when clock-in issues arise Communicate important after-hours updates to the appropriate office staff Respond to caregiver call-outs Work to find replacement caregivers when a scheduled caregiver calls out Contact available caregivers regarding open shifts Help coordinate last-minute coverage and schedule changes Document all after-hours calls, messages, call-outs, and scheduling changes Escalate emergencies or issues requiring management involvement Provide professional and compassionate customer service to clients and families Maintain confidentiality of client and caregiver information Assist with other after-hours care coordination duties as needed Qualifications Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong problem-solving skills Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure Highly organized and detail-oriented Comfortable making phone calls and communicating with caregivers Ability to work independently Reliable and dependable Comfortable using computers, scheduling systems, email, and phone systems Previous home care, healthcare, scheduling, staffing, or customer service experience is preferred Schedule Monday-Friday, 4:00 PM-8:00
PM Part-time:
20 hours per week Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is someone who is dependable, comfortable communicating with people, and able to think quickly when unexpected staffing issues arise. This person should understand that after-hours coverage is an important part of maintaining continuity of care for our clients . Both positions work closely with the Assisting Hands office team and are important to keeping our clients, caregivers, and daily operations supported.
