This rewarding role offers consistent weekday hours from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., providing an excellent opportunity to deliver compassionate, personalized care in a home setting. As a vital member of the caregiving community, you will support seniors and individuals with disabilities by assisting with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting their well-being. Your expertise will help create a comfortable, respectful environment where clients feel valued and cared for every day. Duties Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility support using patient transfer methods and equipment such as Hoyer lifts Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as eating, toileting, and medication reminders while maintaining patient dignity and confidentiality Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, recognizing changes in condition Support clients with memory care needs including dementia and Alzheimer's care through specialized techniques and compassionate engagement Administer medications following prescribed protocols and assist with catheter care when necessary Maintain a clean and safe environment by assisting with light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and meal preparation tailored to individual dietary needs Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination and adherence to home healthcare regulations Qualifications Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or equivalent caregiving credentials required Prior assisted living experience or long-term care experience preferred; experience working with geriatric patients or individuals with developmental disabilities highly valued Knowledge of medical terminology, patient transfer methods, and basic life support (BLS) including CPR certifications required Familiarity with home health care assistance practices, hospice care principles, dementia/dementia care techniques, and end-of-life care preferred Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when needed; experience operating Hoyer lifts or similar equipment is advantageous Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and documentation Demonstrated ability to work independently while managing multiple responsibilities in a home healthcare setting This position offers an enriching environment where your caregiving skills directly impact the quality of life for those you serve.
