This vital role involves supporting clients with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting independence within a caring environment. The ideal candidate is energetic, attentive, and dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for those they serve. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference while working in a supportive team environment. Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene. Monitor patients' health by observing vital signs, reporting changes, and maintaining detailed care plans. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary. Support clients with mobility and transfers using appropriate patient transfer methods and equipment such as Hoyer lifts. Administer medications accurately following prescribed instructions while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning and sanitation of living spaces. Provide transportation assistance for appointments, errands, or community outings, ensuring safety at all times. Skills Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, developmental or intellectual disabilities support, or senior care. Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and hospice or home health services. Familiarity with patient observation techniques, patient monitoring, and understanding resident's rights. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and patient transfer methods safely. Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration. Certification in CPR and First Aid; experience with HIPAA compliance is preferred. Competence in meal preparation, assisting with ADLs, personal transportation assistance, and home & community care experience.
