This role provides direct support and care to children and adults who need temporary relief services, allowing families and caregivers to take a break with peace of mind. You will work in home and community-based settings throughout the Greater Charlotte Metro area, helping individuals with daily routines, supervision, and meaningful engagement. This is a flexible position that requires availability across various hours, including nights and weekends, based on client needs. Duties Provide compassionate respite care services to children and adults Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs - dressing, toileting, etc) as needed Ensure client safety and supervision at all times Support engagement in recreational, social, and community activities Assist with personal care routines, and hygiene reminders Work in home and community-based environments Observe, document, and report any changes in behavior or condition Follow individualized care plans and company procedures Maintain professional communication with families and supervisors Provide transportation or accompany clients when required (if applicable) Skills Compassionate, patient, and dependable attitude Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays Comfortable working with both children and adults Ability to work independently and follow instructions Reliable transportation preferred Previous experience in caregiving, respite care, or human services is a plus Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations Basic understanding of safety procedures and emergency response preferred Strong sense of responsibility and confidentiality Experience working with individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) preferred Join us in creating a caring community where every individual receives respectful support tailored to their unique needs. Pay:
