Personal Care Aide/In Home Caregiver Job Description Job Overview We are looking for compassionate and reliable PCAs, and Caregivers to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in a variety of settings, including private homes, nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and home care environments. The ideal candidate will assist with activities of daily living, help monitor overall health and well-being, and ensure a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for those in our care. Responsibilities Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating. Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure. Provide basic patient care under the supervision of nursing staff. Assist with mobility and transfers using equipment such as Hoyer lifts. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by following infection control protocols. Document patient care accurately in electronic health record (EHR) systems. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient needs and changes in condition. Support patients with special needs including those with developmental disabilities or dementia. Participate in training programs to enhance caregiving skills and knowledge of medical terminology. Requirements An unlicensed Caregiver is in good standing High school diploma or GED Certified CPR with American Heart Association and Red Cross Negative TB skin test within 1 yr or chest x-ray within 5 yrs Minimum one (1) year of documented experience working in the role applying to is required Licensed driver with current auto insurance and reliable automobile to get to work Must be able to stand walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
