Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in need of personal care and daily living support. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote comfort and independence. Monitor patients' vital signs and observe changes in health status to ensure timely intervention and proper care. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety. Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient safety and confidentiality. Utilize specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident's to safely transfer individuals with mobility challenges. Maintain detailed documentation of patient care activities, observations, and any incidents in compliance with privacy standards. Engage in light housekeeping duties including cleaning living areas, laundry, and ensuring a hygienic environment conducive to health and well-being. Qualifications Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, group homes, or home & community care environments is highly desirable. Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional training in Alzheimer's care, dementia care, or hospice care is a plus. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient monitoring techniques ensures confidentiality and quality care delivery. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when assisting with mobility or transfers using appropriate equipment. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or memory impairments enhances your ability to provide personalized support. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare teams. Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or overnight as needed.
