Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Bilingual In-Home Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to an individual in their own home. This vital role involves delivering personalized care that promotes independence, safety, and well-being. As an In-Home Caregiver, you will be a trusted companion and helper, ensuring your client receives the highest quality of care tailored to their unique needs. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference in the life of the one you serve. Duties Assist client with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene to promote dignity and independence. Monitor patients' health status by observing vital signs, recognizing changes, and reporting findings in accordance with care plans. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to support dietary needs and preferences. Support client with medication administration and ensure adherence to prescribed treatment regimens while following HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Provide companionship, engage in social activities, and support mental health through meaningful interaction. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing living spaces. Assist with transportation for appointments, errands, or community activities to foster social engagement and independence. Requirements Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, developmental or intellectual disabilities support, or senior care is highly preferred. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training or medication administration are a plus. Ability to conduct proper patient transfer methods; manual handling skills are essential. Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams. Experience working in home health or home care environments is advantageous. Knowledge of home & community care practices, patient monitoring, care plans development, and social work principles is beneficial. Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings or weekends as needed; reliable transportation is necessary.
