Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patients' health status by taking vital signs and observing for any changes in condition Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with meal planning and cooking Administer medications accurately following care plans and document all medication administration in compliance with HIPAA regulations Use specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident's personal assistive devices to ensure safe transfers and mobility Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning, laundry, and organization of living spaces Support clients with memory care needs such as Alzheimer's or dementia by implementing personalized routines and engaging activities Qualifications Prior experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs monitoring, and basic nursing skills including CPR and First Aid certification Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or dementia enhances your ability to provide specialized support Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate assistive devices like Hoyer lifts when necessary Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality at all times Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve clients' well-being through direct support and personalized care plans Embark on a rewarding career where your dedication directly impacts lives.
