Job Description
Overview Join our compassionate team as a PCA (Personal Care Aide), where your dedication and caring nature will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring support with daily activities. This role offers an energizing opportunity to provide essential personal care, promote independence, and foster a warm, respectful environment for residents in various care settings. Whether working in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care environments, you will be instrumental in enhancing quality of life through attentive caregiving and compassionate support. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility assistance Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure residents' health status is maintained Support medication administration following prescribed protocols and document accurately using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems Provide specialized care for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, implementing memory care strategies and behavior management techniques Help with meal preparation, feeding assistance, and ensuring proper nutrition tailored to individual needs Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts safely to support mobility and prevent injury Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties and adhering to infection control standards Support residents' emotional well-being through social engagement, active listening, and encouraging participation in activities Experience Prior experience in long-term care facilities such as nursing homes or retirement homes is highly desirable Hands-on experience assisting individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges in home or community care settings Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia management, and behavior support strategies Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation and record keeping Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to obtain required certifications upon hire is appreciated Experience working with seniors or in assisted living environments enhances your ability to deliver empathetic, personalized care Ability to work independently or as part of a team in group home or personal care home settings Join us and become a vital part of a dedicated team committed to providing respectful, high-quality care that enriches lives every day.
