Full Job Description Job Summary:
Sila Senior Care is looking for qualified caregivers to assist with the in-home care of a client in Leland. For this client, the shift starts at 10:15am and you'd be primarily responsible for medication assistance with oversight. Additional duties may include some meal prep, basic housekeeping and companionship. Ideal candidates live close by with reliable transportation, as additional hours may sometimes be scheduled for transportation. Successful caregivers have a caring and empathetic nature and experience working with the elderly. If you have a compassionate heart, patience and respect for our senior community, we would love for you to apply for this position.
  • Must have current driver's license and be able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities:
  • Providing comfort and support and see to the personal needs of the patient
  • Listening to and conversing with the patient
  • Tracking time, entering notes and quick response time
  • Respectful and professional demeanor
Skills:
  • Able to converse with clients and be proactive
  • Experience working in home community care, nursing homes, long-term care or rehab is a plus
  • Strong understanding of systems and procedures, with the ability to adapt to new protocols
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and the importance of maintaining confidentiality
  • A clean and organized approach to work, with a focus on maintaining a safe and healthy living environment
  • Ability to work effectively with nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • A commitment to promoting independence, dignity and respect
