Full Job Description Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Professional to provide support and assistance to individuals in their daily activities. As a Direct Care Professional, you will play a vital role in helping clients maintain their independence and improve their quality of life.Duties:
- Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Provide assistance with mobility, including transferring and positioning clients
- Administer medication reminders and assist with medication management
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary needs and restrictions
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry, cleaning, and organizing
- Accompany clients to appointments or social outings
- Engage in meaningful conversation and provide emotional support to clients
- Monitor and report any changes in client's condition or behavior
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a Direct Care Professional or similar role is preferred
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Reliable transportation to travel to client's homes
