Kendal at Hanover is seeking a caring, team-oriented LNA and/or Care Partner. The successful candidate provides residents living in the independent setting or assisted living facility with quality care by providing physical, psychosocial and social support within the guidelines of established practice for the nurses assistant and care partner.
Specific responsibilities include:
  • Assures quality of care by meeting resident needs as outlined in the individual care plan.
  • Communicates and works professionally with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Supports residents in doing as much for self as possible, promoting positive leisure time.
  • Actively engages residents by initiating conversation and activities with them.
  • Communicates resident's well-being and needs by taking an active role in plan of care meetings.
  • Reports concerns or physical, psychological and social changes to the charge nurse or nurse supervisor and assisting in problem solving.
  • Maintains a clean working environment by keeping residents' living areas neat and orderly, completing job lists that are separate from resident assignment.
  • Contributes to team effort by voluntarily helping others to accomplish department and community goals in caring positive manner.
  • Cross-trains in appropriate nursing settings to maintain staff and resident scheduling needs.
  • Takes responsibility for own actions by using time efficiently to deliver high quality service to residents and demonstrate commitment to co-workers.
  • Provides hands-on care to residents as needed and appropriate, assisting with meals and answering call lights in a timely manner.
