Personal Care Aide (PCA) TruHands Home Support LLC Bayonne, NJ Job Details Part-time | Full-time | Per diem $16.00 - $20.60 an hour 1 hour ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications Caregiving Housekeeping assistance Care documentation Assisting with ADLs Driver's License First Aid Certification Home health Full Job Description Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Aide (PCA) Certify Home Health Aide (CHHA) Certify Nurses Aide (CNA) to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our residents, ensuring their comfort and safety in various settings such as assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes. This role requires a blend of caregiving skills, empathy, and the ability to work effectively with individuals with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities and memory-related conditions. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance residents' well-being. Administer medications as prescribed and monitor vital signs. Support residents with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary. Prepare meals according to dietary requirements and assist with feeding when needed. Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents by performing light housekeeping duties. Document care provided using EMR systems and report any changes in residents' conditions to the nursing staff. Engage residents in social activities to promote cognitive stimulation and emotional health. Uphold the dignity and respect of each resident while providing care tailored to their individual needs. Experience Candidates should have experience or training in the following areas: First aid certification is preferred. Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care settings is highly desirable. Familiarity with working with individuals who have developmental disabilities or memory care needs, including Alzheimer's and dementia care. Experience in home & community care or personal care homes is beneficial. Skills in meal preparation, cleaning, and behavior management are advantageous. A background in direct support roles will be considered an asset. Valid driver's license may be required for positions involving transportation of residents.
