Overview Join our dedicated team as a Direct Professional, where you will play a vital role in providing compassionate, personalized care to individuals in various residential, community, and home care settings. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and individuals with disabilities by delivering exceptional support that promotes independence, dignity, and well-being. As a Direct Professional, you will be the trusted caregiver ensuring safety, comfort, and quality of life for those you serve. This is a paid position that emphasizes professional growth and meaningful contribution. Responsibilities Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health status is maintained Administer medications following prescribed protocols and document all medication-related activities accurately Support individuals with dementia or cognitive disabilities through specialized memory care techniques and behavior management strategies Operate manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts safely to assist with resident transfers and mobility needs Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control standards Communicate effectively with clients about their needs and preferences while respecting their rights and dignity Follow safe patient lifting practices and adhere to all safety protocols including CPR and first aid procedures when necessary Requirements Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or residential care environments preferred Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, and geriatrics is highly desirable Experience working with individuals with developmental or cognitive disabilities is beneficial Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate standard passenger cars for transportation needs Certification in CPR and first aid required; ongoing training encouraged to stay current Strong communication skills with an empathetic approach to client interaction Ability to handle manual tasks such as lifting, transferring residents, or assisting with mobility aids effectively Familiarity with medication administration procedures and resident's rights regulations Join us in creating a supportive environment where every individual receives compassionate care tailored to their unique needs. Pay:
$17.75 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 30.0 per week
