Our services include postpartum support, lactation care, pediatric OMM, and holistic offerings designed to help mothers feel supported, regulated, and confident in early parenthood. We are building a team of warm, grounded, and emotionally attuned providers who value connection just as much as clinical skill. Position Overview We are seeking a Postpartum Doula to provide in-home support to families during the early postpartum period. This role focuses on both practical and emotional support, helping mothers and families transition into life with a newborn. This is a 1099 independent contractor position with flexible scheduling and the ability to accept or decline clients based on availability. Responsibilities Provide in-home postpartum support to families Support newborn care (feeding, soothing, sleep guidance) Offer emotional support to mothers during the postpartum period Assist with light household tasks (laundry, dishes, simple meal prep) Support feeding (breastfeeding, bottle feeding, or combination) Maintain a calm, non-judgmental, and supportive presence Communicate with The Village team as needed for coordinated care Qualifications Postpartum doula training/certification preferred (or equivalent experience) Experience working with newborns and postpartum families Warm, compassionate, and emotionally intuitive approach Reliable transportation for in-home visits Strong communication and professionalism Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team Compensation $30-$40 per hour (based on experience) Flexible scheduling Referral-based clients provided Why Join The Village Thoughtfully matched clients Supportive, non-corporate environment Opportunity to be part of a growing, holistic care model Flexibility to build your schedule Meaningful, relationship-centered work
