  • Job Overview:
  • We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated DSP (Direct Support Professional) Caregiver to join our team.
The DSP Caregiver will provide essential support and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities, enabling them to lead fulfilling and independent lives. As a vital member of our caregiving team, the DSP Caregiver will offer personalized care, foster a positive and encouraging environment, and help individuals achieve their personal goals.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct care and supervision to individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring their safety, well-being, and dignity.
Assist with daily living activities, including meal preparation, personal hygiene, medication administration, and household tasks. Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, focusing on the unique needs and preferences of each individual. Support individuals in participating in community activities, promoting social interaction and inclusion. Encourage individuals to achieve their personal goals by providing guidance, motivation, and skill-building opportunities. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for individuals in care. Document all care provided and communicate any changes in individuals' conditions or behaviors to the relevant team members. Attend training sessions and professional development workshops to stay informed about best practices in caregiving and support services.
  • Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous experience in a caregiving or direct support role preferred, but not mandatory. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with individuals of varied backgrounds. Compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor, with a commitment to providing high-quality care. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and reliability. Basic knowledge of first aid and CPR is an advantage.
