Job description: Direct Care Worker -
Residential Youth Program Location:
Port Jefferson, NY Make a Difference Every Day Join our dedicated team supporting adjudicated adolescent males in a small, structured residential setting. As a Direct Care Worker, you will provide supervision, guidance, and support to youth while helping them build life skills and work toward positive change.
What You'll Do:
Supervise residents during daily routines, activities, and community outings Use crisis intervention techniques and behavior management strategies to maintain a safe, respectful environment Serve as a positive role model and mentor for youth Complete daily logs, incident reports, and other required documentation Work collaboratively with a supportive team of professionals, including Social Workers, Nurse Practitioners, Educators, Supervisors, and more. Participate in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) training - provided to all new hires

Bachelor's degree or currently pursuing a degree (Human Services, Social Work, Criminal Justice, or related field preferred) Valid NYS Driver's License Availability for evenings and/or overnights Patient, dependable, and committed to helping others succeed
Preferred:
Experience working with adolescents in residential, foster care, or youth program settings
