Tarrytown, NY (Hiring for multiple locations throughout Westchester County, NY).Yonkers, NY Hastings-on-Hudson, NY Scarsdale, NY Lower Westchester County, NY Compensation:
$18.00 - $19.05 per hour (Based on qualifications and experience). Hiring managers will be conducting (in-person) interviews at this event. What is a Direct Support Professional? Direct Support Professionals (DSP's) provide direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), promoting community integration and inclusion, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) including intimate and personal care, teaching daily and independent living skills and providing individual and group counseling. What is a Employment Training Specialist? Employment Training Specialists (ETS) provide job coaching, on-the-job and vocational training and assist in the improvement of communication and socialization skills through regular visits or direct supervision of people we support at their workplaces across assigned region(s), virtual and one-on-one meetings.Qualifications:
Valid Driver's License Required High School Diploma or GED is required for ETS. Preferred for DSP No prior experience is required to become a DSP at YAI Some relevant experience is required to become an ETS at YAI All job-specific training will be conducted at YAI offices or on site at the individual programs. Full-time and Part-time positions are available. There are open shifts during the day, evening, and on weekends.
