Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dependable, caring, and responsible individual to provide consistent school transportation and after-school support for our two elementary-aged children (3rd grade) during the school year. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working with children, is highly reliable, punctual, and able to provide a safe, positive, and structured environment. This role is perfect for someone looking for a consistent part-time opportunity and who values building a trusting relationship with a family. The position is approximately 10-15 hours per week during the school year , with occasional opportunities for additional hours as needed. Job Duties Provide reliable morning transportation to school on scheduled school days. Ensure children arrive at school safely and on time. Pick children up from school and provide transportation home (if applicable based on school assignment). Provide after-school supervision in our home until parents return. Assist children with homework, reading, and age-appropriate activities. Prepare snacks and help children transition into an after-school routine. Encourage independence, responsibility, and positive habits. Assist with child-related organization, including backpacks, school materials, and preparation for the next school day. Communicate with parents regarding daily updates, schedule changes, and any concerns. Provide a safe, dependable, and supportive presence for the children. Qualifications Valid Driver's License and verifiable insurance. Previous experience working with children (babysitting, childcare, education, tutoring, coaching, or similar experience preferred). Reliable transportation and a clean driving record. Strong sense of responsibility and punctuality. Comfortable caring for elementary-aged children. Ability to provide consistent weekday availability during the school year. Strong communication skills and good judgment. First Aid and CPR certified Ability to establish and maintain boundaries Schedule Monday-Friday during the school year 8AM -9AM & 3PM -5PM Morning school transportation and afternoon/evening care hours (schedule to be finalized) We are looking for someone who is dependable, caring, and interested in a consistent long-term part-time opportunity with our family. Duties Supervise children before and after school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Assist children with homework, tutoring, or educational exercises to support their academic growth Implement first aid protocols when necessary, including CPR and AED operation, to address minor injuries or emergencies Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and any concerns
Pay:
$15.00 - $20.00 per hour
