Job Overview Join our dedicated team as a Short Term Respite Caregiver, where your compassionate support provides vital relief and companionship to adult individuals with disabilities. In this rewarding role, you will deliver personalized care tailored to each individual's needs, ensuring a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment. Your energetic approach will help foster independence, confidence, and joy for those you serve, making a meaningful difference in their lives during short-term caregiving periods. Responsibilities Provide attentive supervision and care for adults with developmental disablities. Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, dressing, and engaging in activities that promote development and fun. Support individuals with disabilities by implementing personalized care plans that encourage participation and independence. Ensure safety at all times through vigilant supervision and adherence to safety protocols. Offer companionship and emotional support to individuals during respite periods. Maintain clear communication with families or guardians regarding the individual's needs, activities, and any concerns that arise. Utilize first aid and CPR skills promptly in case of emergencies to ensure safety and well-being. Requirements GED or High school diploma Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is highly preferred. Ability to assist with personal transportation when necessary to facilitate outings or appointments. Excellent supervision skills combined with patience, empathy, and positive communication. Reliable transportation to ensure punctuality and flexibility for scheduled shifts. A proactive attitude towards safety, caregiving best practices, and fostering a nurturing environment.
