Job Description
A Hospice Aide, under the direction of a Registered Nurse, provides care and assistance to terminally ill patients within the scope of experience and ability, including:
- Clean and bathe patients
- Assistance in toileting
- Maintain patients' hygiene and change bedding
- Turn, reposition and transfer or move patients between wheelchairs, seats and beds
- Serve meals and help patients eat their food
- Assist in cleaning and housekeeping of rooms and facility
- Maintain par stock of supplies on hand
- Measure vital signs like blood pressure and temperature
- Observe and listen to patients regarding any health concerns they might have and report details or changes in condition to nurse
- Three 12 hour night shifts, 7:00 pm to 7:00 am, including weekends, at Hospice Inpatient Care Center in Seaman, OH
