Job Description

The Direct Support Professional will provide a variety of services to individuals with developmental disabilities. This role is for supporting a young person in Macedonia and another young person in Twinsburg. Both homes require day shifts and some into the early evening. The Provider must be able to drive and have full coverage insurance on their vehicle with a good driving record. Follow established protocol for residents' personal care, including hygiene, special dietary requirements and medical needs. Implement and document training activities including, but not limited to: areas of behavior, self-help, daily living, social and leisure skills, community inclusion, physical and nutritional management. Follow protocol for administration and disposal of medications and communicate with pharmacy as needed. Monitor and report as needed any issues related to the personal care and medical needs, including repair needs for wheelchairs or adaptive equipment. If a licensed driver, operate a company vehicle/van to transport individuals as requested and complete vehicle/lift inspections The Direct Support Professional will: Be at least 18 years of age Be eligible to legally work in the United States Successfully complete a background check Be able to read, write, and speak English Possess a valid OH Driver's License with a clean driving record (preferred) Be able to provide proof of educational achievement or required certifications such as a high school diploma/GED, or medical credentials
