Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary
  • Administer medication according to prescribed schedules and document any changes or concerns
  • Monitor and report changes in clients' physical and mental health to the nurse or supervisor
  • Assist with meal preparation and ensure clients' dietary needs are met
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients
  • Implement behavior management techniques as directed by the supervisor
Skills:
  • Experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or similar care settings, is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge of ADLs and ability to assist clients with these tasks
  • Helpful but can be trained.
  • Familiarity with medical systems and ability to follow care plans
