This vital role involves providing high-quality care and support to residents in a residential or assisted living environment during overnight hours. As a Weekend Nightshift Caregiver, you will ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of individuals with diverse needs, including seniors, those with cognitive disabilities, and residents requiring memory care. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment for all residents. Responsibilities Monitor residents' safety throughout the night, responding promptly to any emergencies or needs that arise Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility assistance Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols and document all medication activities Conduct vital signs checks and observe for any health changes or signs of distress Support residents with dementia or cognitive disabilities through personalized care plans and behavior management strategies Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning resident areas and ensuring proper sanitation Communicate effectively with residents, family members, and healthcare teams to report concerns or updates about resident well-being Skills Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly preferred Strong knowledge of Alzheimer's care, memory care and dementia care Proficiency in manual handling techniques and safe patient lifting practices to prevent injury Ability to operate standard passenger cars for transportation needs when required Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is advantageous Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications in medication administration or behavior management are a plus Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration Cooking and Cleaning Join us in making a meaningful difference during the overnight hours! Pay:
