Job Summary:
We are seeking compassionate In-Home Caregivers to provide essential assistance and support to individuals in need within their homes. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and full availability. Caregivers must be at least 18 years of age and have sufficient communication and language skills to enable them to perform their duties and interact effectively with clients and other agency staff.
  • Must have reliable transportation, a current driver's license, and car insurance.
We welcome candidates who are new to the field as we will train you. Caregivers shall complete an agency-specific orientation and online training, conducted by the agency Manager or Designee, before independently providing services to clients as well as being specifically trained on each client being cared for.
Responsibilities:
  • (Not all clients will have all of these NEEDS.)
  • Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing, bowel and bladder management, transferring clients from bed to wheelchairs
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
  • Assist with medications and prescribed exercises
  • Help with meal preparation, light housekeeping, and running errands
  • Assist with transporting client to appointments, shopping, out in public
  • Monitor and report changes in client health status to the appropriate medical personnel
  • Job involves lifting and bending
  • Limited amount of travel
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
  • CPR Certification or ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire and maintain certification throughout employment. We can help with obtaining the certification if needed.
  • Be reliable, punctual, neat and organized, willingness to perform tasks as requested, willingness to learn job requirements, ability to follow instructions The following skills are preferred:
