  • Portland is seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide exceptional support and assistance to our clients in the Greater Portland and Willamette Valley area.
As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in improving the quality of life for individuals by offering personalized care in the comfort of their homes. Responsibilities Provide personal hygiene aspects of care to the client, including bathing, oral hygiene, skin care, and hair care. Assist with transfer of client, e.g., bed to chair, bed to commode, chair/commode to bed. Assist with ambulation and exercise of the client as ordered and as assigned. Assist with or provide meal preparation and related tasks. Assist with the feeding of the client. Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for the client. Have an awareness of the emotional status of the client and be able to understand the emotional problems associated with the illness. Coordinate care with the primary nurse and/or the clinical manager. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of visits. Attend regular meetings of the Private Home Care team and have direct involvement in developing, implementing and evaluating the plan of care. Report client progress and problems to supervisory personnel and procedures for handling medical emergencies or other incidents that affect the delivery of services in accordance with the client's service plan. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Requirements Prior experience in caregiving or related fields preferred but not required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and mobility assistance. Reliable, compassionate, and patient demeanor. Pass a background check and drug screening. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation is a plus. About the Company ameriCARE
