Job Description

Caregiver (Direct Support Professional) - Foster Home Setting in lane county , Oregon Springfield Oregon We are seeking compassionate, dependable caregivers to support adults with developmental disabilities in a licensed foster home setting. This is a small, home-style environment serving up to five residents, where consistency, structure, and kindness truly matter. Positions Available:
Part-time and potential full-time opportunities
Shift:
2:00 PM - 8:30
PM Tuesday-Saturday Shift:
Tuesdays & Thursdays, 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM (This position has the potential to grow into a Monday-Friday full-time role) Leadership/Lead positions may be available for the right candidate Live-in option available (room & board included with salary) Felexable hours willing to work with you. About the
Role:
This is hands-on, meaningful work in a relaxed but structured home. Caregivers support residents in their daily lives, helping them follow personalized plans, stay organized, and make positive choices throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with all Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, toileting, and hygiene Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed Maintain a clean, organized, and comfortable home environment Support residents in following their individual plans and daily routines Provide guidance, redirection, and encouragement in a calm, respectful way Assist with community outings including shopping and activities Transport and accompany residents to medical appointments and other scheduled services Offer emotional support while remaining steady and patient during challenging moments Work as part of a team to create a consistent, supportive environment

Requirements:
Must be 18 years or older Ability to pass a criminal background check (per Oregon state requirements) Valid driver's license and ability to transport clients as needed CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire) Willingness to complete required Oregon Developmental Disabilities (DD) training OIS (Oregon Intervention System) certification required (Employer will cover cost; must be completed after hire)
