Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and dedicated Direct Support Provider to join our team in delivering exceptional care and support to individuals with diverse needs. In this vital role, you will empower clients to achieve their personal goals, promote independence, and enhance their quality of life through personalized assistance and engaging interactions. Responsibilities Provide assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Support clients with medication administration following prescribed protocols and safety guidelines Monitor vital signs and observe health changes, reporting any concerns promptly to healthcare professionals Assist with meal preparation, ensuring nutritional needs and preferences are met in a safe manner Implement behavior management strategies and provide emotional support tailored to individual needs Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, client progress, and incident reports Promote residents' rights by respecting their dignity, privacy, and personal choices at all times Experience Previous assisted living or long-term care experience preferred, especially within nursing homes or residential care settings Familiarity with dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and geriatrics is highly valued Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is advantageous Knowledge of safe patient lifting practices, manual handling techniques, and home & community care standards required Certification in CPR and First Aid is necessary; additional training in medication administration is a plus Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams Prior experience operating standard passenger cars for client outings or appointments preferred Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to enhancing the lives of those we serve through compassionate caregiving. Pay:
$16.00 - $20.00 per hour
