Join our team at Providence Home Care Agency! As a proud family-owned business, we treat our staff and consumers like family. We have immediate openings and are urgently hiring dedicated Direct Care Workers to provide vital, in-home assistance to individuals needing help with daily activities. You will deliver personalized care based on individual Plans of Care, assisting with personal tasks, meal preparation, and light housekeeping to improve our consumers' quality of life. Case Specifics
  • Located in Catasauqua, PA
  • Part-time
  • 2 days a week, 5 hours a day
  • Knowledge of oxygen use and diabetes
  • Assist with ADLs and companion care
  • Driving staff needed for outings

Hourly Rate:
$13.50 - $14.50 per hour

        • Core Responsibilities of a DCW
        • Direct Consumer Care
        • Assist with
        ADLs:
        Help consumers with essential activities of daily living.
        • Prepare nutritious meals: Cook meals and assist with feeding.
        • Monitor vital signs: Measure temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
        • Support physical mobility: Assist consumers with Passive Range of Motion (PROM). Compliance and Communication
        • Time tracking: Clock in and out accurately and timely for all shifts.
        • EVV compliance: Maintain at least a 90% Electronic Visit Verification compliance rate.
        • Document services: Record care accurately on a daily basis.
        • Submit paperwork: Turn in timesheets and activity sheets weekly.
        • Report health changes: Notify supervisors of condition changes or incidents.
        • Maintain safety: Implement proper infection control practices. Position Requirements Qualifications
        • Age limit: Must be 18 years or older.
        Transportation:
        Possess reliable means of transportation to and from work.
        • Device requirement: Must have a working cell phone for daily communication and time tracking.
        Competency:
        Pass testing prescribed by regulatory agencies.
        • Privacy compliance: Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA guidelines.
        • Personal attributes: Display maturity, stability, compassion, and initiative. Physical Demands and Safety Capabilities
        • Transfer support: Must be physically capable of performing routine and emergency one-person transfers.
        • Consumer movement: Reposition bedbound consumers alone.
        • Heavy lifting: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
        Mobility:
        Sit, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, and climb. Working Environment
        • Primary location: Directly inside consumer homes.
        • Secondary location: External healthcare or care facilities.
        • Potential exposure: Unsanitary conditions, extreme weather, or high-crime areas.
