Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in various care settings. In this vital role, you will help enhance the quality of life for those in need by delivering personalized care, ensuring safety, and promoting independence. Your energy and positive attitude will make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents, patients, and clients. This position offers an opportunity to work in diverse environments such as assisted living facilities, home health, group homes, or nursing homes, where your skills will be valued and your efforts appreciated. Responsibilities Assist residents or patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patient health by checking vital signs and observing for any changes in condition medications reminders accurately following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and compliance Support meal preparation and feeding for individuals with special dietary needs or disabilities Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning and sanitation tasks Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts to safely transfer individuals with mobility challenges Document patient observations, care provided, and any incidents clearly and promptly in accordance with facility protocols Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and follow personalized care plans tailored to each individual's needs Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being and social engagement Follow all safety procedures including CPR and first aid protocols to respond effectively during emergencies Requirements Proven experience in caregiving roles within assisted living, nursing homes, hospice care, or home & community care environments Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques, medication administration, and vital signs measurement Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are a plus Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia (including Alzheimer's), or memory care needs is preferred Ability to lift heavy objects safely and assist with resident transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident lifts Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with healthcare professionals, residents, families, and team members Compassionate attitude with a commitment to providing respectful, person-centered care Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed Join us in making a positive impact through dedicated caregiving!
